DIST
The Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) is the result of a joint venture between Politecnico and University of Turin, the other main public university. The core mission of DIST focuses on inter-disciplinary educational and research activities in the field of urban studies, spatial planning, local development, and the built environment.
Thanks to its unique inter-university structure, the DIST joins the scientific and cultural approaches of the Polytechnic (architecture, engineering and built environment studies) and the University (political and social sciences, human and social geography).
The DIST was granted as national Department of Excellence in 2018 (MIUR, 2018).
